I am thrilled to show off the amazing book cover for Making Marriage Beautiful. Not long after I was offered a contract by David C. Cook, I started praying for my cover design. That might sound odd to some of you but as a photographer, visuals matter. A lot.

Cook had their work cut out for them. I explicitly stated I did not want overlapping wedding rings, carnations, or two impossibly handsome white people staring at each other. Because this book is addressed to both men and women, we had to at least try to appeal to both genders. (Men, did we succeed?)

Amy Konyndyk served as the art director and Connie Gabert did the design/illustration, including custom hand-lettering. I’m incredibly grateful for their work.

Making Marriage Beautiful will be released on January 1, 2017, but is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Folks who know more than me insist that pre-orders actually matter—so order often. I admit that I gasped when I saw the price. But then I put it in perspective: that’s less than four lattes. Is it OK to be honest here? I spent 23 years getting ready to write this book and 18 months writing it. When you look at it that way, $22.99 is a great deal.

If you are interested in becoming a member of my launch team,* please let me know in the comment section or by sending me an email. Cook’s goal is for me to sell 10,000 copies in the first year. Honestly, that’s going to be impossible without your help and some divine intervention.

I’ll tease you with two of the early endorsements:

With wise and winsome words reflecting decades of couples’ ministry experience, Dorothy Littell Greco offers deep yet extremely practical ways to build a Christ-honoring, thriving relationship. Rather than proclaiming ideals from some imaginary pedestal, she invites you to walk with her and her spouse as fellow sojourners, while pointing you to tangible hope from God’s promises. Indeed, this book will speak life-changing truth straight into the heart of your marriage.
Jeffrey P. Bjorck, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist, Professor of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA. Married 26 years.

Making Marriage Beautiful is full of goodness and truth, one of the wisest and most comprehensive books on marriage I’ve ever read.
Karen Swallow Prior, Ph.D., author of Booked: Literature in the Soul of Me and Fierce Convictions–The Extraordinary Life of Hannah More: Poet, Reformer Abolitionist. Married 31 years.

I am so grateful for your support, friendship, and prayers along this journey. Remember, I choose one new subscriber every month and send them six of my custom photo cards ($18.00 value).

Happy September.

*Details to follow but essentially a launch team is a kind of pyramid scheme that will help me to sell the book. Just kidding. Kind of.
