One of the most enjoyable aspects of working as a photographer is meeting so many creative people. For the past four years, I’ve been shooting a special section for the summer edition of New England Home Magazine. I photographed designers, architects, builders, landscapers, and more. Each one of these individuals has made me wish I had more resources so that I could hire them to transform my living space. Special thanks to Glenn Sadin at NEH for hiring me and for being such a wonderful client!

Alan asked me to photograph him in his home. When my assistant and I walked in the front door, I looked to the left and saw the result of his dinner party from the prior evening. Rather than tidying up, we just lit the candles and shot as is. This image captures Alan’s warmth and creative energy.

Jim Youngblood of Youngblood Builders

I was sworn to secrecy regarding the location of this greater Boston abode but without a doubt, it was one of the most stunning homes I’ve ever been in. Jim’s attention to detail and superb craftsmanship were visible through the entire residence.

Kristen wanted to shoot outside. We met at the Boston Common and wandered over to Beacon Hill. After shooting for a few minutes on a lovely street, we were told, in no uncertain terms, to immediately vacate because photography was not allowed unless I paid $500 for a one hour permit. OK then. Kristen was super fun to photograph and I’d hire her in a heartbeat!

Heather Vaughan and her associates clearly enjoy what they do as well as each others’ company. There was no shortage of laughter during our session. Their work is elegant with fabulous use of colors.

Paul Weber of Paul Weber Architects

Paul works in Newport, RI. Enough said? Actually, no. What sets Paul’s work apart is understanding how clients move through and use their homes and how the house connects to the geography. Check out this home.

Danit Ben-Ari of Interior Transformations

Danit is a lovely soul. Beautiful inside and out. After looking over her site, see if you don’t want to redo a few of your rooms! She has a fabulous color palette.
